Let’s journey together.

I’m based on the Wirral Peninsula, but my angling journey began over 50 years ago, catching largemouth bass in Southeastern Virginia, USA.

Little did I know then how much that experience would impact my life. It’s allowed me to wet a line in some of nature’s most magical places, created unforgettable memories and forged lifelong friendships.

Along the path, I became an instructor, holding some of the world’s highest qualifications, including Fly Fishers International (FFI) Master Casting Instructor, Two-Handed Master Casting Instructor and FFI Level 1 Examiner. I am also a member of the Game Angling Instructors’ Association (GAIA) in the UK. I am a GAIA Qualified Mentor and Assessor and have attained the Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor (APGAI) certification in both single and double-handed casting. I am also an Angling Trust Level 1 & 2 Coach.

I am Associate Editor on the FFI editorial team of The Loop - The Journal of Fly Casting Professionals. I have taught absolute beginners to experienced anglers looking to learn new techniques, successfully mentored aspiring instructors to become qualified, demonstrated at major game fairs and helped improve the skills of anglers who represent their country on the international stage.
