Taking a casting lesson from a qualified instructor is the best way to learn the correct mechanics, techniques and casts and help avoid any faults becoming ingrained.
Many anglers I meet say, “I don’t need a casting lesson because I catch fish” I guarantee these same anglers would catch more fish by casting more efficiently, safely, accurately and further with better presentation if they had the correct skills. I have also known anglers who have booked expensive destination trips only to realise too late, they lack the skills to deal with the fishing environment they find themselves in. An investment in a few hours of tuition and practice will not only pay dividends on the water but will make your valuable fishing time much more enjoyable.
